Reclaiming the Sierra 2012: Green $olutions to Abandoned Mines May 3 - 5, 2012

Please visit the main conference page on our Reclaiming the Sierra site for much more information.

Community and tribal members, leaders, regulators, recreationists, scientists, medical professionals, elected officials and students are encouraged to attend The Sierra Fund’s second annual Reclaiming the Sierra conference. This event is the only conference dedicated to addressing the impacts of historic mining in the Sierra Nevada.

The focus this year is on solutions – both immediate actions that can be taken to minimize the impact on our health from exposure to toxins in our communities, and creative strategies to make cleaning up mining’s toxic legacy profitable.
