WE HELP YOU SAVE THE SIERRA NEVADA
The Sierra Fund is the only foundation dedicated to saving the Sierra Nevada. We are organized as a community foundation that provides private donors a vehicle for their investments and contributions, so they can target those efforts that provide the most impact and greatest environmental success.
We know that private investments can also leverage substantial new public investments, so our philanthropy is uniquely informed by a strategic vision for the region and supplemented by effective advocacy in the State capitol.
Our donors are making a difference. In the past six years, The Sierra Fund has granted more than $1.25 million to some of the most effective conservation organizations and efforts in the region – funding grassroots organizing, land acquisition, conservation easements, watershed restoration, cultural education, environmental litigation and advocacy.
