Sacramento — Assembly Speaker Fabian Nunez announced his appointment of John Brissenden, of Hope Valley, California to the Board of Directors of the Sierra Nevada Conservancy.
The appointment of Brissenden means that all 13 positions on the Board are filled.
John Brissenden is a Board Member representing Water Quality issues on the Lahonton Regional Water Quality Control Board. He was elected to the Alpine County Board of Supervisors and served from 1989 to 1993.
Brissenden is the owner of Sorensen's Resort in Hope Valley, and has worked for twenty years to protect and restore the region. His work to create a Sierra Nevada Conservancy extends back more than a decade. He is a member of the Conservation Alliance and the California Chamber of Commerce.
