Department of Conservation requests Watershed Coordinator grant proposals

The Department of Conservation is preparing to release a new request for proposal (RFP) for another round of Watershed Coordinator Grants and invites your input and comments on the previous (2004) RFP to help create an improved 2007 version. DOC is striving to make the next RFP more user friendly, and improve the ability to meet state water goals. The previous 2004 version of the RFP is posted at DOC website. You may submit comments to DOC staff at WCGP2007@conservation.ca.gov or in person at one of the five workshops scheduled around the state:

The 2007 Watershed Coordinator Grant Program will be funded through Proposition 50 (Water Security, Clean Drinking Water, Coastal and Beach Protection Act of 2002), so the 2007 grant program will again be focused on the CALFED Solution Area. The grants will provide funding for a three-year period. If you have any questions, please send them to WCGP2007@conservation.ca.gov. DOC looks forward to releasing another round of Watershed Coordinator Grants to improve California's watersheds. Please feel free to forward this message to any other interested parties.
