The Sierra Fund is thrilled to announce that the Richard and Rhoda Goldman Fund has awarded $50,000 for our Mining’s Toxic Legacy Initiative.
This two-year grant will support Phase II of the Initiative, which includes continued involvement of our partners throughout the Sierra to address California’s oldest and longest neglected environmental justice problem.
The Goldman Fund also supported Phase I, and continues to be the only foundation with an environmental focus that is supporting our Initiative. We are proud of their ongoing support because it affirms that our work is on the cutting edge of environmental justice.
