Mark your calendar for the Planning and Conservation League’s conference “Greening California’s Landscapes: Smart Solutions for a New Era” to be held Saturday, January 30, 2010.
The conference program features The Sierra Fund CEO Izzy Martin, along with attorney Bettina Redway of the State Treasurer’s Office, speaking on “Funding Watershed and Conservation Efforts in a New Era,” a panel designed to explore some of the new thinking about how we can raise money to pay for projects since 2009’s bond freeze made clear that bonds are no longer a reliable way to fund conservation priorities.
