Planning and Conservation League announces April 29 Legislative Forum

The Planning and Conservation League is convening a Legislative Symposium in Sacramento on Saturday April 29, 2006. The Symposium will examine hot topics in California environmental policy including water politics, air quality, global climate change, and the Sierra.

Speakers will include California Attorney General and candidate for State Treasurer, Bill Lockyer; Dr. Peter H. Gleick, co-founder and President of the Pacific Institute for Studies in Development, Environment, and Security in Oakland; and Elizabeth “Izzy” Martin, The Sierra Fund CEO.

PCL is California's only statewide environmental coalition. Founded in 1965 by a group of citizens who were concerned about the uncontrolled development taking place throughout the state and the destruction that accompanied it, PCL has fought for more than thirty years to develop a body of environmental laws that is the best in the United State.
