“Saving the Sierra” creators interviewed on pod cast

The Sierra Nevada is the primary focus of two documentary media producers creating a radio series called “Saving The Sierra.” Catherine Stifter and jesikah maria ross are gathering stories from people across the social spectrum that share a love of wilderness. Allowing the collected voices of many individuals to speak as one, Stifter and ross said they hope to preserve the culture, environment and economy of the Sierra.
Heard over the Internet and the airwaves of National Public Radio, “Saving the Sierra: Voices of Conservation in Action” aims to raise awareness for the plight of wild places and the communities that surround them. The Sierra Fund is the fiscal sponsor and a partner in this project.
SNEWS® Live hooked up with Stifter and ross at the tail end of producing their full-length documentary scheduled for broadcast next year to get their story. Their interview can be heard as a pod cast at this link: www.snewsnet.com/cgi-bin/snews/08734.html. This news program is sponsored by the Conservation Alliance.
