SIERRA TO SACRAMENTO LOBBY DAY ANNOUNCED

Dozens of supporters of the Sierra Nevada will convene for an all day “Lobby Day” session in Sacramento on Monday, April 19.

The Lobby Day coincides with the expected first hearing of Assembly Bill 2600, which will establish a state Conservancy to protect Sierra Nevada watersheds and water supply. The bill will first be heard by the Assembly Natural Resources Committee.

The Lobby Day includes breakfast with Assemblyperson John Laird — the author of AB 2600 — and a Lobby Day training. After, supporters will meet with legislators in the State Capitol and attend the Assembly Committee.

The Sierra Lobby Day is sponsored by the Mono Lake Committee, Sierra Nevada Alliance, Planning and Conservation League, California-Nevada Conference of Operating Engineers and The Sierra Fund.
