Scholarships Available for Sierra Nevada Alliance Annual Conference

From the Sierra Nevada Alliance

Apply Today!

We are pleased to announce that the Rose Foundation for Communities and the Environment is once again sponsoring conference scholarships to help conservation group representatives attend our annual Sierra Nevada Alliance Annual Conference September 12-14th, 2008 in North Tahoe.

For more information on the conference program and lodging options visit SNA’s website.

The scholarships will cover the conference registration fee for the full event (including 5 meals) and provide support for travel and lodging costs. The scholarships are for those individual group members and leaders of a Sierra Conservation non-profit group who would not be able to participate in the Annual Conference. SNA expects to be able to provide scholarships to at least ten individuals this year thanks to this grant.

So, please use this simple one page application if you would love to attend and would benefit from a scholarship. The grants will be awarded on a first come first served basis to qualified individuals who are a member of a conservation group in the Sierra Nevada. SNA asks applicants to only apply if they would not be able to attend without this assistance. They also welcome more than one person per group to apply. Finally, they encourage scholarship recipients to carpool and share lodging if possible.
