Staff Transitions

The Sierra Fund is thrilled for two of our staff members that recently accepted new positions. While we are sad to see them go, we wish Kelsey Westfall and Amber Taxiera the best of luck in their upcoming endeavors.

Kelsey Westfall

After four years with The Sierra Fund, Kelsey Westfall is pursuing her dream of becoming a firefighter with the Sacramento City Fire Department. Kelsey landed this opportunity after placing top of her class in the CAL-JAC Academy Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) training program, and The Sierra Fund could not be more proud of her accomplishments.

We are so grateful for the many contributions she has made to The Sierra Fund and wish her all the best.

Amber Taxiera

After five and a half years with The Sierra Fund, Amber Taxiera is beginning a new chapter with the national nonprofit American Rivers, at their office in Nevada City, CA.

We will miss Amber not only for her problem solving and innovation, but also for her lighthearted spirit and ability to make us laugh. Best of luck, Amber, and don’t be a stranger!
