Support Proposition 84, the Clean Water, Parks and Coastal Protection Act on the November ballot

The Sierra Nevada range has the greatest opportunity in history! Proposition 84 on the November 2006 ballot will allocate $54 million directly to the Sierra Nevada Conservancy, for distribution to important conservation projects throughout the region. The bond also offers the potential for up to $500 million in additional Sierra funding.

BUT FIRST THE BOND MUST PASS! The Sierra Fund is committed to creating new funding to protect and restore the natural resources and communities of the Sierra. Passage of Proposition 84 is important to our mission, so we have pledged to raise $20,000 to help pass this important bond initiative. We have $8,000 already in hand. But we need your help to raise $12,000 more.

The good news is that you can write a check to The Sierra Fund for this purpose. All contributions to The Sierra Fund (a non-profit, tax-exempt 501 (c)(3) organization) are tax-deductible. You can call with a pledge, or email The Sierra Fund, and we will set up the easiest way for you to contribute.
