Thanks to early sponsors of Reclaiming the Sierra 2017

The Sierra Fund is pleased to announce our early conference sponsors for Reclaiming the Sierra 2017: Headwaters Resiliency, May 8-9, 2017 at California State University, Sacramento. Thank you to the following agencies and businesses:

Since 2010, Reclaiming the Sierra has been the West’s main venue for showcasing innovative ways to approach the assessment and reclamation of mine scarred landscapes. The event draws scientists, regulatory agencies, miners, remediation firms, public health specialists, environmental advocates and many others to focus on addressing the ongoing effects of natural resource extraction.

Reclaiming the Sierra 2017 is focused on strategies to promote headwaters resiliency with a vision of adaptive recovery for the environment and communities that are still blighted from centuries-old resource extraction. This event will generate momentum, build networks, expand understanding of the complex legacy of historic mining and generate new ideas for headwaters management that promotes the resiliency of natural and human resources in California’s altered landscapes and beyond.
